The “Best TV-studio band in the world” has a license to rock!

This charming trio has an overwhelming charisma and a contagious passion for music.

The Rockhouse Brothers are Jamie and Joey Carnwath – two brothers with but one goal in life: To play their way into the hearts of their listeners. Wolff Reichert – the Wolfman – normally beats them to it.

James and Wolff met on stage performing the Buddy Holly musical in Hamburg.

After a Weekly feature on Germany’s most successful breakfast TV show (Sat.1 Frühstücksfernsehen) throughout 2009, they received their license to rock and were certified the “Best studio band in the world”!

The music ranges from classic Rock ’n’ Roll to contemporary hits, arranged to fit their style.

Playing about 200 Gigs per year takes them beyond the borders of Germany and even Europe. Among other things they have played together with Chris de Burgh and have toured with the Stranglers.

Wolfman.  Plays the drums.

He was already recognized as an up and coming talent in Hamburg’s Jazz scene when he joined the cast of “Buddy – Das Musical” and met Jamie in 2000.

Some people (Joey) say that his improvisational skill brings a human element to the animal power of the backbeat he provides when playing rock ‘n’ roll.

In 2006, he talked the other band members into signing up for the Berlin marathon.

When not on stage with the band, he manages the record label Wolfman Records. Work at Wolfman Records is usually put on hold during the World Cup or European Championship.

Jamie.  Plays the double bass.

He accepted the challenge of learning to play the instrument in 8 weeks flat, after receiving a desperate phone call from Joey in 1996, who needed a replacement bassist for a major tour of Sweden.

Some people (Bob Moore, Elvis Presley’s bass player) say he has the fastest right hand technique they have ever seen!

Other people (Joey) wonder what that means.

Jamie was a finalist in the 2001 Hannover chin-up competition, a sporting event that combines brute physical strength with the ability to consume copious amounts of beer.

When not on stage, Jamie runs the booking company CCR Booking, and is therefore responsible for organizing around 200 gigs per year for the band.

Joey.  Plays the guitar.

He started his music career by busking on the streets of London in the early ’90s.  During the first 7 sunny days, his busking act caught the attention of U2′s Bono (who not only threw 200 pounds into the guitar case, but was inspired to grab the mic and sing along!) and Rolling stones bassist Bill Wyman. The subsequent year and a half passed with occasional showers and no celebrity interest.

Joey almost died as he crossed the finish line of the Stockholm marathon in 2008, and still wonders why he accepted Jamie and Wolff’s suggestion of a second band marathon.

When not on stage, Joey makes coffee at Wolfman Records and CCR Booking.
